Discover our native animals
On the ground floor of the museum, you will find an impressive variety of animals native to Switzerland. With the exception of insects and bats, almost all species are represented.
Insects, amphibians, reptiles and mammals are displayed according to their relatedness. The birds, on the other hand, can be found in the habitats where they actually live – ideal for checking your own observations.
You can view the animals up close, study their special features and hear and learn to distinguish their voices. The specimens are a source of wonder and reveal how rich and exciting our native wildlife is.
