Hidden Disabilities Sunflower

We support people with invisible disabilities. The Sunflower lanyard is available at the museum welcome desk. When you wear the lanyard, our staff will know that you have an invisible disability and may need a little extra time, support or understanding.

Mobility

  • The entrance to the museum is at ground level.
  • Almost all areas are wheelchair accessible. An independently usable lift provides access to both floors.
  • A wheelchair toilet is available. The key can be obtained at the museum welcome desk.
  • Folding chairs are available on request.
  • Seating is available.

Vision

  • Labelled guide and assistance dogs are permitted in the exhibition.
  • People with visual impairments can obtain an interactive museum bag free of charge at the museum welcome desk. The bag supplements the exhibition with descriptions in braille and tactile materials.
  • The guided tour ‘In the jungle of the dinosaurs’  was developed for people with and without visual impairments.
  • There is no floor guidance system.

Hearing

  • Many texts are displayed on high-contrast screens.
  • Some of our films are subtitled.
